The information in this section will give you a brief overview of my professional and personal history as this personal life-history background information is important as you choose a psychologist. Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this background information that would be helpful to you. My therapeutic orientation is rooted in concepts and principles from humanistic psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, future-focused counseling, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Counseling sessions involve active listening, questioning, exercises, and dialogue methods. Assignments between sessions are offered to strength your insights and skills.
