Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
  • Sandplay Therapy Uses sand trays and miniature figures to allow symbolic expression. It is especially helpful for children and trauma survivors.
  • Self Psychology Explores the development of self-esteem and identity. It emphasizes the importance of empathy in healing.
  • Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: I strongly believe that no individual is like the other, which strongly informs my integrative approach to therapy. My approach to therapy centers on the individual and is tailored to their specific needs. This custom treatment is informed by psychodynamic, systems, humanistic, person-centered, relational, and interpersonal techniques. My goal in therapy is to create a space where clients feel heard, seen, and safe, allowing them to build a therapeutic relationship and collaborate on identifying reasons for specific behaviors/beliefs, and work towards healing and growth.

Fees & Insurance

Fees
  • Average Session Fee $140-$200
  • Affordable sliding scale therapy: apply if you may be eligible.
  • My standard self-pay session fee falls within a range of $140–$200 per session. I use a variable-fee structure so that I can maintain accessibility for clients with different financial circumstances while also sustaining a private practice. The questionnaire below is designed to help determine where within this range your session fee will fall. It considers factors such as household income, household size, financial obligations, financial stability, and anticipated changes in your financial circumstances. There is no “right” answer to any question, and this is not intended to judge your financial choices or circumstances. Please answer honestly and to the best of your ability. The information you provide will be used to help establish a fee that is appropriate for your circumstances. Your fee is determined based on the overall information provided rather than on any single answer. The final fee will be discussed with you before beginning treatment. Because financial circumstances can change, your fee may be revisited if there is a significant change in your income or financial situation. If you have questions or concerns about the fee assessment, please feel free to discuss them with me.
