Dr. Tali Shenfield Practice Description
I am the Clinical Director of the Richmond Hill Psychology Centre, and my team, consisting of 5 licensed psychologists and 6 psychotherapists, is here to offer you the support you need. We are all trained to address a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. In addition to therapy, we offer psychological and psychoeducational assessments to diagnose ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, social-emotional problems, and to evaluate children's cognitive abilities for placement into gifted programs. Over the years, we have helped thousands of clients improve their quality of life and wellbeing, fostering healthier mental and emotional states. To better serve our community, our psychologists and therapists are proficient in multiple languages including English, Cantonese, Farsi, Hebrew, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. We understand that language can play a significant role in therapeutic relationships, and we strive to offer services that are linguistically accessible and culturally sensitive. Located in York Region, we serve a diverse population, welcoming clients from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. We value the uniqueness of each individual and appreciate the role of cultural context in mental health and therapy. Our team is committed to promoting inclusivity and understanding in our therapeutic practice. Our team has developed extensive expertise in managing and treating various mental disorders and conditions. We understand that living with a mental health condition can present significant challenges, affecting every aspect of your life, from interpersonal relationships and work performance to overall self-esteem and wellbeing. These challenges can often lead to feelings of confusion, frustration, and sometimes feelings of despair. Our mental health services play a crucial role in providing the necessary support, empathy, and therapeutic interventions required to navigate these conditions. We utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual's unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, and other evidence-based interventions. Our treatments aim to help you understand the nature of your condition, manage your symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, improve your interpersonal relationships, and enhance your overall quality of life. Understanding that life’s commitments can make it difficult to find time for therapy, we offer flexible scheduling with weekend and evening appointments available to accommodate your needs. Our aim is to help you navigate life with a mental health condition, not just manage, but truly thrive. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to live their best life, and we're committed to helping you overcome the challenges posed by your condition and achieve your full potential. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you and help you navigate your journey with a mental health condition. Remember, you're not alone; we're here to guide you every step of the way.
