Therapy is like exercise for your mind. At times, life is stressful, complicated, and overwhelming. You can be successful in one area (e.g., work, family, school, etc.) and struggling in another. You might wonder if you are struggling “enough” for therapy. You may think your problems aren’t “as bad” as someone else’s. Humans are really good at minimizing their struggles, thinking they are not deserving of help, or talking themselves out of seeking something that would serve them. If you would tell your loved one to seek help, then honor yourself by doing the same.
