Approach Description: I am an eclectic counselor who utilizes a primarily person-centered approach. I provide a safe, trustworthy, and growth-promoting environment where you can experience empathic listening, nonjudgmental acceptance, and self-actualized healing. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, so I also integrate other evidence-based techniques based on the individual client. These additional modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), the Gottman method and family systems theories, among others.

Education: I first obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University, then later obtained my Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Houston Baptist University.

This is similar to my treatment philosophy which includes providing unconditional positive regard, validation, and empathy resulting in client growth. I value health, both physically and mentally, and aim to help my clients reach their potential in becoming the best version of themselves.
