Things might feel overwhelming right now, but you have gotten this far and that means something.
I am a San Luis Obispo based psychotherapist offering quality long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy for individuals and couples. I provide services via teletherapy for people all over California.
Together, we will foster a space of curiosity and exploration to help make sense of your inner world. We will explore the existential and complicated feelings that come up about being human and work to alleviate psychic pain and mental struggling. In our work, you will have the opportunity to know yourself more fully, connect with others more deeply, and live life more congruently.

While I tailor my approach to each person, my understanding of the human experience and interventions are rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which simply means I invite you talk as freely as you can about what goes on in your mind. Together we will understand the themes and patterns that come up in your life so that you can think about things differently and experience life in a new way.
Our work together will be multi-dimensional, encompassing both the past and the “here and now” — how you relate to others will inevitably show up in the therapy. That means our work together will be a playground where you will get to practice new ways of relating and being.
Individual therapy begins with us meeting at least once per week for a 50-minute in-person or teletherapy appointment. As we move forward in our work, we may decide that meeting more or less frequently is appropriate.
