I want to work with you and help you if you are struggling with a mental health condition. I want to sit with you and hold you in that place where you feel hopeless. I will help you explore and get in touch with your inner self. I will also support you if you are grieving any kind of loss and I will encourage you to mourn and acknowledge your loss but not brush it off because it is part of the process. If you are a parent who have an autistic child, I can also help you to make life manageable with some tools and techniques. I will support you in a non-judgemental way, I will be transparent and show deep empathy towards you. I find it important to build a bond with you from the first assessment so you can feel free to open up to me. I do not pretend to have a solution to your situations but I will walk by your side and nudge you to be aware and explore what is going on with you so you can find your own solution.

Approach Description: As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I will be working from a Person-Centred Approach with deep empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard. Using the Psychodynamic approach to visit the past for any history pattern, identification, to see whether the acting out in the now is coming from your past. I will also be looking for any attachment style to understand the dynamic in relationships. The Cognitive Behaviour helps me to understand how your thoughts can have an impact on your behaviour and help you to be aware and process all these thought patterns.

Lighthouse Counselling Watford Practice Description
I am a trained and fully qualified integrative psychotherapist with a BA(Hons) in Counselling and Theology. It is my passion to walk by your side and gently nudge you on your path to find your own self and accept who you are as a person so you can make meaning of your life and reach your full potential. I believe that it is imperative to accept ourselves before we can accept others. I use a few approaches like the psychodynamic where I lead you to explore your past history to find if there is any behaviour in your present that is coming from your past, the psychoanalytic approach will help you to understand the different personality in you and how it manifests in your daily life. The person-centred comes with the non-judgemental approach from me as I relate with you showing you deep empathy and unconditional positive regard, I use the relational approach to help you understand your relationship with yourself first of all and with others and also with God if you are a spiritual person. The solution focused will help you find your strength and be resilient and know what you can achieve and who you are in a short time. The REMA frame is integrated in most of the above models; for example, in the relationship, also how you embody this situation you are facing you, and how you make meaning of what is happening and how you use your agency. Each individual has specific needs and I work with each one accordingly. More importantly I work on a relational basis rather than on a clinical one. I also work holistically as I understand that mind, body and soul are all interconnected.
