Lynette Cisneros (She/Her)

Counselor/Therapist, LCMHC, LMHC
 therapist: Lynette Cisneros,

Therapy is not a one size fits all discipline. As an experienced therapist I recognize that adaptability is key. Your provider must be able to move within the space of the session with you as things present. This is where my experience & our rapport becomes invaluable. In my practice I strongly believe this space is for and about you. Our dynamic is intended as a tool to heal with compassion, intentionality and humor. When we can laugh we will.

Client Focus

Session Format: Individual sessions.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
  • Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I utilize an integrative approach which provides the flexibility to draw from interventions across various orientations in order to customize the process & use what works best for you. This holistic approach highlights your individual life experiences, motivations for making change and the therapeutic relationship as key elements towards growth. Furthermore, I have learned that clients who tend to reach out are looking for a more 'direct speak' therapeutic approach. They have likely already been through different types of counseling relationships and are looking for focused guidance, clarity & less "...and how does that make you feel" vibes.
