I approach counselling as a quiet, supportive partnership where clients feel safe to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. I believe meaningful change happens not through pressure or fixing, but through understanding, patience, and compassionate guidance.
With more than two decades of experience, I support individuals facing emotional overwhelm, trauma-related stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My work is rooted in trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care, with attention to both emotional experiences and how stress is carried in the body.
I aim to offer a calm and respectful space where clients feel valued, understood, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity, stability, and self-trust.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Hypnotherapy Uses guided relaxation and focus to access the subconscious mind. It is often used for habits, anxiety, and pain management.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.

My practice is built around one simple belief: people heal best when they feel emotionally safe, respected, and understood. I offer online counselling for adults who are carrying emotional strain, trauma-related stress, grief, relationship difficulties, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from “holding everything together” for a long time.
Many clients come to me after trying to manage on their own for months or years. Some feel stuck in patterns of worry, emotional overwhelm, irritability, or numbness. Others feel disconnected from themselves, their relationships, or their sense of direction. Some are functioning on the outside, but inside they feel burdened, unsettled, or depleted. My role is to provide a steady space where we can slow things down, make sense of what is happening, and create a realistic path forward.
What I help with
Clients commonly reach out for support with:
trauma-related stress responses (hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, overwhelm)
anxiety and chronic worry
low mood, emotional heaviness, and loss of motivation
grief and unresolved loss
relationship issues, communication breakdown, and boundary concerns
life transitions (migration, family role changes, identity shifts, midlife transitions)
chronic stress and the emotional impact of prolonged responsibilities
mind–body stress patterns (when emotional distress shows up in the body)
My counselling style
My work is trauma-informed, integrative, and grounded in emotional safety. I do not rush clients into intense disclosure. We move at your pace and build stability first. I pay close attention to how stress is experienced emotionally and physically, because for many people the body carries what the mind has been trying to tolerate.
My approach blends evidence-informed counselling with practical, stabilizing tools. Depending on your needs, our work may include:
emotional regulation and grounding skills
nervous system stabilization practices (breath, pacing, and body-based awareness)
CBT-informed strategies to challenge distressing thought patterns
person-centred counselling to build self-trust, self-understanding, and clarity
solution-focused work for immediate problems and decision-making
mindfulness-based support to reduce reactivity and improve emotional balance
My style is warm and structured. Clients often describe sessions as calming, clarifying, and emotionally safe. I bring steadiness, cultural sensitivity, and maturity to the work, and I value dignity and respect deeply in the therapeutic relationship.
Holistic support (carefully integrated)
Some clients also prefer a holistic layer to counselling. Where appropriate and client-led, I may integrate mind–body and reflective practices such as guided imagery, visualization, and hypnotherapy-style techniques to support emotional processing and deeper insight. These are never forced, and they are used within clear boundaries, with client consent and therapeutic purpose.
Who I work with
I work primarily with adults. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and have extensive experience supporting multicultural and South Asian clients. Many clients value having a therapist who understands the emotional realities of family systems, intergenerational patterns, migration stress, identity changes, and the invisible pressures that come with “being the responsible one.”
I offer sessions in:

Punjabi
Hindi
What you can expect in sessions
You can expect a respectful and confidential space where you don’t have to perform or explain yourself perfectly. We focus on what you are experiencing now, what has shaped it, and what will help you feel more stable and empowered going forward. My intention is not only symptom relief, but also helping you build a stronger inner foundation: clearer boundaries, healthier coping, improved self-trust, and steadier emotional resilience.
Online practice format
Sessions are offered online through secure platforms. Online counselling is especially helpful for people who prefer privacy, flexibility, or support across time zones. If you are based outside Canada, services are offered within appropriate ethical and jurisdictional boundaries.
If you feel you’ve been carrying too much for too long, you don’t have to carry it alone. We can begin gently, one step at a time.
