I am a psychoanalyst and licensed clinical social worker, with over 15 years of experience and training in psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approaches to talk therapy. In my practice, I work with people across age groups, with families, couples, and children, with the goal of discovering the desires, dreams, needs that lie behind the more difficult aspects of life. I have two New York City based office locations, making it easy to find a place thats right for you. I work on a sliding scale fee basis and with insurance.

Treatment Approach
- Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: People often seek a psychotherapist when they feel confused, in pain, and in need of addressing something difficult in their lives. Psychic distress, while painful, can also be connected to frustrated interests and ideals, integral to experience. A talk-based therapy can enable new ways of creating meaning and enabling access to parts of oneself that can feel surprising and new.
Importantly, I take interest in how historical and cultural experiences shape the contours of how we make sense. This includes personal struggles with stigmatizations and taboos, conflicts that lead to dead ends and needs to change one's life, and repeating patterns that sometimes work through generations.
