I believe in the power of personal growth and self-discovery. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep appreciation for each person's unique journey. I understand that life's challenges, whether it’s navigating relationships, dealing with past trauma, or managing anxiety, can feel overwhelming. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their experiences, uncover their strengths, and work through difficulties at their own pace. Together, we will build a path forward that fosters healing, hope, and resilience. I offer a safe, compassionate space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Using a blend of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioural and humanistic techniques, I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain clarity, overcome challenges, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. If you're feeling unsure or facing challenges, I invite you to get in touch. I'm here to listen, answer any questions you may have, and support you in your journey. If we’re not the right fit, I can help connect you with the right resources and guide you toward finding the support you deserve.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach is integrative and evidence-informed. We’ll co-create goals, agree on how sessions run, and review progress regularly so therapy stays aligned with what you want and at a pace that feels right. I blend skills and insight work—using CBT and ACT to shift unhelpful patterns and build values-based action, and DBT skills to strengthen emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and relationships—while person-centred and psychodynamic lenses deepen self-understanding for lasting change. Care is trauma-informed: safety and choice first, stabilization and coping skills before any processing. I’m attentive to faith, spirituality, and meaning making, supporting religious trauma and deconstruction with nervous-system safety, boundary setting, and identity reconstruction on your terms. I also bring a practical, stigma-free focus to men’s mental health and work sensitively with chronic illness, integrating pacing, compassion, and problem-solving for flare cycles, role changes, and identity shifts.

Moeez Munshi Practice Description
I support adults who are ready to feel less overwhelmed and more themselves again. My work is especially helpful if you’re navigating men’s issues (identity, emotional expression, relationships), religious or spiritual trauma, depression, the realities of chronic illness, or big life transitions. Together we’ll slow things down enough to hear what actually matters to you, then build practical skills to move life in that direction. Sessions are warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. We’ll set clear goals, check in on what’s working, and adapt as we go. You can expect a respectful space to untangle old patterns, make sense of strong emotions, and practice tools you can use between sessions—whether that’s managing rumination and low mood, improving communication and boundaries, or rebuilding trust with yourself after difficult experiences in family, faith, school, or work. My background includes training across cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, and depth perspectives. I integrate CBT and ACT for relief and momentum, DBT skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, and psychodynamic, person-centred, and existential lenses to understand the “why” beneath the “what.” If you’re unsure where to start, we’ll start with what hurts—and work at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
