I operate from a client centred, trauma informed approach that is grounded in neurobiology. This means I honour each client as they show up in session and we unpack together how their traumatic experience may have formed who they are today. We spend time understanding how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system, not just how it shows up in behaviour. Through psychoeducation and experiential work, you'll learn how survival patterns form after traumatic experiences. Rather than only managing symptoms, we work at the root level - helping your brain and nervous system process and integrate what was overwhelming. Shifting what's happening on the inside facilitates lasting behavioural change and a more stables sense of self becomes possible.

Treatment Approach
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Neuropsychology Examines how brain function affects thinking, memory, and behavior. It often involves assessment and rehabilitation strategies.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: Our primary approach uses neurobiologically informed somatic processing therapies to address the root causes of trauma. By understanding how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system, we help support deeper healing and lasting change from the inside out.
