Tatiana Balashova (Life in Glow Wellness)
Counsellor/Therapist
There are millions of people in the world who have eating disorders for many years. Some from childhood, others from youth or adult years. It is not uncommon that there are certain triggers of such habits.
Eating disorders are not as simple as they might seem. There are few factors including your preference in diet and nutrition, your daily habits, family patterns, emotional state, your life style in general, and sources of pleasure.
Lots of food companies add such additives to the food that they make it addictive on a chemical, hormonal, or other levels. It is a field of life science that can surprise us again and again.
Please note, that I do not have education in nutrition even if keep learning about various studies on that subject as well as currently studying medical astrology. I am not a magician and I do not have a magic pill, wand or button which can help you lose or gain weight. I practiced myself a certain diet that allowed me to lose some weight, however it might not work for everyone.
What I can help you with is to look deeper into the psychological and emotional aspect of food related habits and impulsive eating. I love working with metaphorical associative cards (MACards), emotion-image therapy and art therapy, because they allow to tap into the subconscious mind, where majority of the decisions are made. Together we will explore what make you eat one food or another, your daily habits and I will help you to create a strategy for building new habits and finding a healthy way to nourish yourself.
Best is to book a package of 3-5 sessions at minimum together, to schedule sessions once or twice a week.
Sessions are available on the first come first serve basis with a preference to returning clients and have to be booked in advance (pre-paid in advance).
Rates for sessions vary from USD $75 to $125 depending on the package and length of the session.
I offer a sliding scale for the 1st session and when you take a package.
As a special promo, discovery consultation in March 2023 is free of charge, it lasts 20-30 minutes and can be followed up by the 1st consultation on the same day.
PS there are a few types of traumas which I currently do not work with because it requires a very long-term therapy or collaboration with a psychologist or psychiatrist. Feel free to message to me to describe your case and I will let you know if I can offer you therapy services.

Roxanne Hahn
Counsellor/Therapist, RTC (registered therapeutic counselor)
I support individuals struggling with eating disorders through a compassionate, non-shaming approach that honors the deeper story beneath food and body concerns. Using narrative therapy, we gently separate you from the eating disorder voice and explore the beliefs, pressures, and experiences that may have shaped your relationship with food and self-worth. I integrate somatic techniques to rebuild trust with your body, strengthen awareness of hunger, fullness, and emotional cues, and support nervous system regulation. Together, we work toward developing a more stable, respectful connection with your body and cultivating patterns of care that feel sustainable and empowering.

Daniel McMath
Counsellor/Therapist, PCC, MPCC Provisional, Facilitator, Inner Compass Catalyst
As a counsellor specializing in eating‑disorder treatment, I view each client as a whole person—not merely a set of symptoms. My role is to create a safe, non‑judgmental space where shame can dissolve and curiosity can flourish. Together we explore the complex tapestry of thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and life experiences that have shaped disordered eating patterns.
I begin by building trust through consistent, compassionate listening. Validation of the client’s pain—whether it stems from trauma, perfectionism, loss of control, or cultural pressures—lays the foundation for genuine change. From there, I integrate evidence‑based approaches such as Cognitive‑Behavioural Therapy (CBT‑ED), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Mindful Self‑Compassion practices, tailoring each modality to the client’s unique narrative and readiness for change.
Some nutrition education is woven into our sessions, not as a prescriptive diet plan, but as a collaborative discovery of how food can become a source of nourishment and pleasure rather than fear. I also engage families or support networks when appropriate, fostering an environment of empathy and shared responsibility.
Throughout therapy I monitor progress with gentle curiosity, celebrating small victories—like a balanced meal, an honest body check‑in, or a moment of reduced anxiety—while acknowledging setbacks as learning opportunities. My ultimate aim is to empower clients to reclaim agency over their bodies, nurture a resilient sense of self, and develop lasting tools for emotional regulation. In this partnership, healing is not a destination but a continuous, hopeful journey toward wholeness.
