The focus of my practice is to facilitate the client's self-concept and self-esteem. Issues include anger management; addictions; depression; sexual assault/domestic violence; PTSD; career counseling; and multicultural and diverse populations, among others. I am also a State of Nevada Approved Primary and Secondary Supervisor for Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Professional Counselor Interns.

I am a somatic psychotherapist and approach therapy holistically, focusing on the mind-body-spirit. My background and training is in early childhood development, mindfulness and meditation practices, and somatic psychology. I believe in processing and healing past wounds, while also working with the body and what is coming up in the present moment using body-oriented techniques and mindfulness. I also use ancient yogic practices and approach healing considering your subtle body energy system if you are interested (e.g. chakra health, breathing techniques, movement, etc).

Healing isn't about fixing what's wrong with you - there is nothing wrong with you. Healing is permission to your nervous system to experience the safety, support, and connection it may have missed earlier in life. When the body begins to feel safe, many symptoms that once seemed unrelated can begin to make sense. Then you begin to heal and develop into your full potential. I create a safe space for you to slow down, settle, and be yourself. I help you make sense of complex experiences that seem disconnected so you can heal into wholeness.

We are a virtual and in person Christian Counseling/Therapy Practice/Certified Life Coach and Consulting practice. Here at NewBirth Counseling & Wellness Group, focusing on the wellness and wellbeing of Individuals, families, children, couples, partnering with Northside Medical Centers. & other facilities across the board assisting to uncover the root issues that make navigating difficult life situations unbearable. We offer effective psychological care. Our focus is working to assist with healing as a whole and become aware of their inner strengths through Counseling or Coaching. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to their concerns, customizing a treatment plan that fits their need. We assist each individual with love and care.

I believe that we all have the capacity to heal. I take a trauma-informed, body-based, and spiritually grounded approach to working with clients. I have experience working with clients (primarily women) from a variety of backgrounds, including those experiencing anxiety and co-occurring health issues impacting mental health. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness, expressive arts, and other holistic modalities into my sessions and will provide you with resources to utilize in your everyday life. As Carl Jung states, "I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become".

Clovis is Fresno's northeastern neighbor, the 'Gateway to the Sierras,' a family-oriented city with a western heritage identity, strong schools, and a large medical campus. Mental health needs center on family and adolescent pressures and the agricultural region's broader economic rhythms, with Clovis Community Medical Center anchoring healthcare and Fresno's provider market close at hand.
