I have been working with people experiencing depression most of my career as well. I have seen so many people recover from depression and it's so rewarding to experience. Many clients come in feeling hopeless and watching them find hope again is amazing. Depression can be managed and you don't need to live with it. There are real concrete skills you can learn that can keep that at bay and you can live a full life!

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is manifested by a combination of symptoms that interfere with the ability to work, study, sleep, eat, and enjoy once pleasurable activities. Such a disabling episode of depression (lasting two weeks or more) may occur once or several times in one’s lifetime. Dysthymic Disorder is a less severe type of depression, but is long-term and chronic. This type of depression is not disabling, but will keep one from functioning well and feeling good. I will incorporate mindfulness techniques, narrative therapy, and other therapy approaches designed specifically for you.
