Liam West

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, Adv Dip MBACP
I’ve been in practise since 2016 and feel very blessed having had the opportunity to help so many people on their healing journey. My first focus is always in creating a safe space; one of understanding, compassion and openness. Anyone attending therapy needs to feel safe, secure, and seen and understood by their therapist. Though there’s a lot more that I do in my work with people than above, it’s those foundations - the relationship between therapist and clients - that everything else we do is built from. You will get 100% from me, as well as a dedication to continual learning and exploring, refining already known approaches, as well as adding in new tools and techniques. I know therapy can be a nervous thing to first try, but I’m sure in saying that I will put anyone at ease very quickly, and that anyway that sticks with therapy - and feels safe and heard by myself - will experience change that is hard to almost hard to believe until it starts to happen. I look forward to meeting you

Counselor/Therapist, Life Transitions & Feeling Stuck
Feeling stuck in life, work or relationships? Unsure about your future? Struggling with an important decision? Lacking confidence? Feeling lost, overwhelmed, or without direction? If this feels familiar, you are not alone. Many people reach a point where they know something needs to change but feel unsure how to move forward. I help people who feel stuck, uncertain, or at a crossroads in life to gain clarity, understand themselves more deeply, and make meaningful decisions about their future. Together, we explore your thoughts, feelings, values, and options in a supportive and collaborative way. I also work with Christians who want to strengthen their faith, navigate the challenges and distractions of modern life, or simply have meaningful conversations about their faith and personal journey. Whether you are facing personal challenges, a life transition, or uncertainty about the future, counselling can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and find greater understanding and direction. If this resonates with you, I would love to hear from you. FREE ONLINE WEBINAR – “Getting Unstuck” I am also offering a free live webinar exploring why we can sometimes feel trapped or unable to move forward, and how we can begin to gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and take meaningful steps towards change. If you would like to attend, please complete the form below and write “Getting Unstuck Webinar” as the title. I will then send you the details.

John Castleford

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.
