Sudeva Hawkes

Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor, B.Couns., MNCPS Accred. , PACFA Reg.
I work with people from every walk of life, from successful business managers to struggling students, helping them to navigate stress, anxiety, and life’s many challenges. My approach is friendly, humorous and empathetic. Online I see clients from all over the world- especially Australia, the UK and Ireland. I have developed my therapeutic style and skills over many years. I am especially well versed in shock and developmental trauma, relationship and family therapy, workplace stress and anxiety . My trauma work is based on releasing painful held memories through Somatic Experiencing. The good news is that you don't have to delve into old wounds or relive past events. Trauma is held in the body and it is through the body that it can be released. My wife Adima is also available for spiritual therapy and as a Gene Keys Guide and can be contacted through our website. The trust clients have displayed in me over the years has deepened my compassion and my insight and I am easy to connect with face to face or online. My aim is to present you with the tools you need to heal the things that trouble you and to connect more deeply within yourself; also to grow and develop an intimate, conscious and nourishing connection with the world around you. People often tell me they can never switch off the internal chatter and noise in their minds. That's a disturbance you don't have to live with. We can open the space for peace, simplicity and the freedom to relax when you need to. My way of working is singular, joining as it does clinical experience and the healing of trauma with meditation and mindfulness. I combine them to give my clients something special, the opportunity to find their own sense of direction in the company of a supportive ally, eliminating that which is old and no longer relevant while developing new strengths. My wish is to serve and support you in your authentic flowering, rather than to 'fix' you according to the expectations of conventional therapy. I appreciate connecting with people from every kind of background. I grew up in London and have travelled to many places in Europe, India and Asia. Until recently, I lived and worked in Australia and now I have returned to create a home and a practice in Devon the UK. In addition to Somatic Experiencing, I am inspired and fascinated by Internal Family Systems therapy and have recently embarked on a study of the Gene Keys. I look forward to working with you.

I focus on helping people attain growth in the personal and professional areas of their lives. Rather than just focusing on symptom reduction I like to explore deeper unconscious traumas that may be the deeper reason for clients symptoms.

John Castleford

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

Lakis Elezoglou

Counselor/Therapist, Life Transitions & Feeling Stuck
Feeling stuck in life, work or relationships? Unsure about your future? Struggling to make an important decision? Lacking confidence in yourself? Feeling lost, overwhelmed, or without direction? If this feels familiar, you are not alone — many people experience this at different points in their lives. It is completely normal to reach a point in life where you know something needs to change, but feel unable to move forward on your own. Together, we can explore what may be keeping you stuck, gain clarity, and find more meaningful ways forward. I help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence if you feel stuck, uncertain, or at a crossroads in life. I support you in understanding yourself more deeply and making decisions that feel right for you. Through a supportive and collaborative process, we explore your thoughts, feelings, values, and options to support meaningful and lasting change. I work with people who feel stuck in life and want to move forward in a more intentional way. Whether you are facing personal challenges, life transitions, or uncertainty about the future, counselling offers a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what is going on — so you can move forward with more understanding and direction. If this resonates with you, I would love to hear from you.
