From a functional health perspective, common dietary trends, challenging factory farming practices, and environmental toxins can also play a role in setting on and deepening and ED or disordered eating. So sometimes addressing a nutritional deficiency or chemical toxin may be important to do in a way that is sensitive to the psychology of living with an ED. Over time many clients may move into a next phase of becoming more broad in their dietary choices and/or lovingly becoming friends with their body, goals can vary.
