Even if you start therapy to help you out of a dark or difficult time, it is a great gift that you give to yourself. We learn a great deal about ourselves, about others and ultimately about living life with more ease and enjoyment. We will sit together and get curious about what you learnt growing up and in your life to date that created you today: your world-view, your assumptions and even your body's responses to the situations you face. We'll learn about how you manage your world in ways that *work* for you, as well as where these ways of relating are causing pain or limiting you. We will find your best ways to unblock and release those old responses. The goal is to find new ways of seeing and being that help you to be more at-ease and authentically yourself and in relation to friends, family, work and other important people and situations. I believe every one of us has a soul-nature and way of being that works well for us and it's our job to work with that.
I work with an integrative palette of approaches and tools, and share them with you in our conversations. A good deal of our work will involve working with how the thoughts and emotions land in our physical selves and our nervous systems.

I create a calm, healing space for clients to feel secure and trust in our therapeutic relationship so that they can explore their inner world. I am very experienced in helping clients transform and evolve through their difficult feelings to feeling confident and creative in however they choose to express themselves in the world.
I work very intuitively and align myself to each client's unique way of functioning. Through experienced means of deep listening and communication, I offer alternative ways of viewing the world, and help you to increase your awareness of yourself through cognitive and emotional exploration. I also help you to begin to notice the way you speak to yourself, facilitate atunement with your body, and apply other interventions that heighten your awareness and help you heal.
As a somatic psychology therapist, I believe we all inherit and embody invaluable resources which are there to support us during hard times. What we often do not inherit are the skills to tap into those resources. Being able to grow in capacity to help yourself with a gentle help of a practitioner is always a huge step in the right direction. I am here to help, and in my practice, I attempt to activate most natural methods for working with somatic experience in meaningful reflective expression, inner awareness and creative openness for change. Time and open mind-set is all you need.
