I've spent 30 years doing this work because I understand what it's like when the outside doesn't match the inside. I know what it means to carry things nobody sees. I've lived it, not just studied it. I'm an integrative therapist, which means I adapt to what you actually need rather than fitting you into my preferred method. I'm trained in Psychodynamic & Schema Therapy, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, DBT-PTSD—but I don't force you into one box. We find what works for you, not what's convenient for me. I'm not interested in teaching you more coping skills or managing symptoms. I want to help you understand why you're wired the way you are, then help you change it. That takes honesty, patience, and someone who won't look away when things get uncomfortable. I've built businesses, raised a family, navigated my own dark corners. I get the weight of responsibility and what it costs to keep everything running while barely keeping yourself together. If you need someone direct, grounded, human, and who won't waste your time—let's talk.

John Castleford

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

I am a globally certified relationship and marriage coach, licensed Counsellor, seasoned Therapist. My years of hands-on experience cut across relationship therapy, marital counselling, business coaching, career mentorship, grief/trauma/addiction recovery, etc. I possess grandiose expertise in listening, absorbing and analyzing human problems without prejudice. As an individual who has experienced life from all angles (right from a tender age), I am apparently in a better position to counsel and admonish individuals who battle with depression, anxiety, retrogression/set backs, financial turmoils, addiction, emotional/domestic abuse, rejection, youthful exuberance, juvenile delinquency, child abuse, marital/family crisis, etc. My professional background makes me capable of being a great confidant and less judgmental. I am a registered psychotherapist with experience over 15 years in psychotherapy and counselling. I work with individuals and couples. I specialize in working with anxiety, anger, depression, lack of motivation, and hopelessness. I am also very experienced in teaching communication skills and negotiations. Everything is possible if you work on it, so I am focused on solutions and actions in practice. I try to be creative and use evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches. My sessions are focused on results, but I use a deep understanding and analysis of the roots of the issues. I have a background in CBT, psychoanalysis and psychodynamic techniques.
