Anna Brooker
Therapist, Advanced Level 3 BWRT Therapist, Award Winning Women's Health Coach, Life Coach
I offer a free 15 minute consultation, which you can book online through my website, nourishedthriving.com. The link is in my contact details. Living with chronic pain or illness is exhausting, and the anxiety, frustration and low mood that often come with it can make everything feel harder. Stress and pain tend to feed each other: tension, poor sleep and worry about flare-ups can all heighten how pain is felt. I use BWRT® to work with the brain's automatic stress and fear responses around pain, and as a certified health coach I can support sleep, energy and daily routines too. I work alongside your GP or medical team, never instead of them, so you have support for the emotional side while your medical care continues. Book a free 15 minute consultation so we can talk about whether BWRT is right for you.

Dr Grenville Major
Therapist, MBchB, MRCpsych, MSc psychological therapies
Not all pain has its origin in the physiology of the body. Pain can be psychological and this can manifest in the body. There is ample scientific evidence for effectiveness of therapy in helping people manage the pain both physical and psychological. I would like to meet with you to see what can be done to help you. This will enable us to get to know each other and see if we can work together. It’s important for you to work with someone you trust and feel safe with.

Psychologist, CBT Therapist, FMBPsS, MA (Hons), MSc, CertCouns, MSc
I’m experienced in working with long-term pain or physical health conditions which have taken a long time to be diagnosed or been difficult to manage. I provide the main recommended psychological therapies for these difficulties - CBT and ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) - and also Compassion-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness approaches. Sessions are tailored for the individual's needs, including ADHD or other neurodivergence. The conditions I see include blackouts/non-epileptic seizures, Functional Neurological Disorders, Functional Pain Syndromes, gut disorders, urinary tract problems, post-viral fatigue, ME, Long Covid, and chronic skin conditions. I'm a committee member for a UK-wide expert group on Long-term physical health conditions, non-epileptic seizures, Functional Neurological Disorders and medically unexplained symptoms, with my professional body the BABCP. I presented a poster at the BABCP Annual Conference in July 2026.

Emma Poxon
Counsellor/Therapist, MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling
I am a late diagnosed therapist who has an ADHD diagnosis so I know first hand the challenges that disabled people face. I have found that disabled clients naturally gravitate towards me, it’s so lovely being able to have that immediate understanding of things that neurotypical people just don’t experience, saving the need to over explain and welcoming in supposed “weirdness”. This extends to disabilities outside of neurodiversity, as knowing what it’s like to navigate a world that is not catered to you is something that those without a disability don’t have the same insight into.
You are not a problem to be fixed, my aim as your therapist is to try to provide the right conditions to allow you to explore whatever you want to bring to therapy to support your growth. This isn't a therapeutic approach wherein I will set a treatment plan or tell you what to do. We will work together as a partnership rather than me taking away your autonomy. I absolutely love the work I do, it is the biggest privilege being let into people’s personal worlds and seeing the immense growth of my clients. I hope to hear from you soon!

Chronic pain and illness presents unique problems where there is no apparent physiological cause. Typically symptoms are expressions of unconscious feelings and emotions.
