Lisa Sanfilippo

Therapist, MA, MSc, UKCP, MBACP
Even if you start therapy to help you out of a dark or difficult time, it is a great gift that you give to yourself. We learn a great deal about ourselves, about others and ultimately about living with more ease and enjoyment. We can get curious about what you learnt growing up and in your life to date that created your world-view, your assumptions and even your body's responses to the situations you face. We'll learn about how you relate to your world in ways that *work* for you, as well as where these ways of relating are causing pain or limiting you. We will find your best ways to unblock and release those old responses. The goal: to help you to be more at-ease and authentically yourself and in relation to friends, family, work and other important people and situations. I believe every one of us has a soul-nature and way of being that works well for us and it's our job to work with that. I work with an integrative palette of approaches and tools, and share them with you in our conversations. A good deal of our work will involve not just thoughts and feelings, but how they land in your body. When we start to shift what is available to our felt-sense, our perceptions and actions can shift dramatically. This is one of the things I love about the recent post-graduate training I've undertaken in Somatic Experiencing. I'm at the Intermediate level in this method and it informs my approach to trauma, to neurodiversity and to relationships. I've also undertaken significant studies in ADHD and autism to help work with neurodivergence.

North York, Ontario therapist: Ellen White, life coach
Serving Women

Ellen White

Life Coach, Life & Relationship Coach
Do you feel like you’re carrying the relationship? Like you’re the one doing the emotional work… trying to communicate, trying to keep things together while the other person stays distant, defensive, or unavailable? That pattern doesn’t just affect your relationship. It affects how you feel about yourself. For over 20 years, I’ve helped clients across Canada, the U.S., and Europe break out of these one-sided dynamics—learning how to communicate clearly, set healthy boundaries, regulate emotions, and rebuild connection without losing themselves in the process. This isn’t about fixing the other person. It’s about strengthening you, so you can show up with clarity, confidence, and real influence in your relationships. Clients come to me when: Communication keeps breaking down Conflict escalates quickly (or gets avoided altogether) They feel unheard, unappreciated, or emotionally exhausted They’ve “tried everything”… but nothing seems to stick My sessions are practical, supportive, and deeply clarifying. You’ll understand what’s happening beneath the surface and more importantly, what to do differently so things actually change. If you’re ready to stop feeling unseen and start creating real connection, this is where we begin.

Ummayah Sidhu

Counsellor/Therapist, Ummayah Sidhu | BACP Accredited Psychotherapist | Identity & Heritage Specialist
THE WHOLE STORY APPROACH: I lead with a relational way of working that ensures every part of your journey from your heritage and faith to your professional life is seen and valued. I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over 10 years of experience, shaped by a life lived across cultures. As a British-born woman and a Muslim revert, my practice is deeply rooted in understanding the delicate balance of identity, belonging, and faith. Having lived and worked in Qatar for six years within a diverse international community, I bring a global, nuanced perspective to my relational work. I understand the unique beauty and the complex tensions of mixed-heritage families and the journey of navigating different worldviews while staying true to one's values. My approach is warm, professional, and spiritually sensitive. Whether you are navigating the pressures of leadership and burnout or exploring personal questions of heritage and identity, I provide a space where all parts of you your faith, your history, and your professional ambitions are held with respect. Christchurch, England therapist: Saffron Marriner, counselor/therapist
Serving Women

Saffron Marriner

Counsellor/Therapist, MBACP (Accred)
My name is Saffron. I am an accredited member of the BACP and have been practicing as a counsellor and psychotherapist for twenty years both within an agency setting as well as within my private practice, where I offer face to face, online, telephone and walk and talk appointments. I have worked with clients across the age range of 16 up to and past the retirement age. The service that I offer welcomes people from all backgrounds in a way which is non discriminatory and supportive. Counselling offers an opportunity to process personal challenges and difficulties within an environment that is supportive and confidential. At times this might include discussing painful and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, emotions. You are not alone with this as many people experience these at different points of their lives. When this is happening it can be hard to remain in a positive and focused frame of mind. Sometimes people feel overwhelmed and feel unable to continue to cope in the way that they usually could with their life on a day to day basis. One of the ways that counselling can help is by providing a space to process personal, behavioural and relationship issues in a safe and confidential way with a qualified professional. My role is to support you with this process in a way that is non judgmental, free from criticism or giving advice as to what I believe is the right thing for you to do. By working together in this way I am there alongside you as you find your own answers in a way that is right for you as we are all individual and unique and what is right for one person may not feel right for someone else. Of course you don't have to tell me everything about yourself and your life if you are not comfortable with this however you may find it beneficial to be as open and honest as you are able to be.

Emma Poxon

Counsellor/Therapist, MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling
You are not a problem to be fixed, my aim as your therapist is to provide the right conditions to allow you to explore whatever you want to bring to therapy to support your growth. This isn't a therapeutic approach wherein I will set a treatment plan or tell you what to do. We will work together as a partnership rather than me taking away your autonomy. I absolutely love the work I do, it is the biggest privilege being let into people’s personal worlds and seeing the immense growth of my clients. I would love to hear from you!
