Counsellor/Therapist, Ummayah Sidhu | BACP Accredited Psychotherapist | Identity & Heritage Specialist
THE WHOLE STORY APPROACH: I lead with a relational way of working that ensures every part of your journey from your heritage and faith to your professional life is seen and valued. I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over 10 years of experience, shaped by a life lived across cultures. As a British-born woman I have a deep respect for people from all walks of life and faith traditions, my practice is deeply rooted in understanding the delicate balance of identity, belonging, and faith. Having lived and worked in Qatar for six years within a diverse international community, I bring a global, nuanced perspective to my relational work. I understand the unique beauty and the complex tensions of mixed-heritage families and the journey of navigating different worldviews while staying true to one's values. My approach is warm, professional, and spiritually sensitive. Whether you are navigating the pressures of leadership and burnout or exploring personal questions of heritage and identity, I provide a space where all parts of you your faith, your history, and your professional ambitions are held with respect. I welcome you to reach out for an initial conversation to see how we can work together.

Serving Persons with Disabilities

Emma Poxon

Counsellor/Therapist, MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling
You are not a problem to be fixed, my aim as your therapist is to provide the right conditions to allow you to explore whatever you want to bring to therapy to support your growth. This isn't a therapeutic approach wherein I will set a treatment plan or tell you what to do. We will work together as a partnership rather than me taking away your autonomy. I absolutely love the work I do, it is the biggest privilege being let into people’s personal worlds and seeing the immense growth of my clients. I would love to hear from you!

London, England therapist: Lisa Sanfilippo, therapist
Serving Persons with Disabilities

Lisa Sanfilippo

Therapist, MA, MSc, UKCP, MBACP
Even if you start therapy to help you out of a dark or difficult time, it is a great gift that you give to yourself. We learn a great deal about ourselves, about others and ultimately about living with more ease and enjoyment. We can get curious about what you learnt growing up and in your life to date that created your world-view, your assumptions and even your body's responses to the situations you face. We'll learn about how you relate to your world in ways that *work* for you, as well as where these ways of relating are causing pain or limiting you. We will find your best ways to unblock and release those old responses. The goal: to help you to be more at-ease and authentically yourself and in relation to friends, family, work and other important people and situations. I believe every one of us has a soul-nature and way of being that works well for us and it's our job to work with that. I work with an integrative palette of approaches and tools, and share them with you in our conversations. A good deal of our work will involve not just thoughts and feelings, but how they land in your body. When we start to shift what is available to our felt-sense, our perceptions and actions can shift dramatically. This is one of the things I love about the recent post-graduate training I've undertaken in Somatic Experiencing. I'm at the Intermediate level in this method and it informs my approach to trauma, to neurodiversity and to relationships. I've also undertaken significant studies in ADHD and autism to help work with neurodivergence.

I specialise in crisis, trauma, anxiety, and supporting individuals and families living with chronic illness. I use well-established therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs, helping individuals develop insight, resilience, and meaningful, lasting change. Wolverhampton is one of the West Midlands' most diverse cities, with large South Asian, Sikh, and Caribbean communities that generate consistent demand for culturally competent and multilingual therapists who understand the intersection of heritage, family systems, and mental health across generations. The city's post-industrial character — shaped by the decline of its manufacturing and engineering sectors — means therapists frequently address economic stress, long-term unemployment, and the identity challenges of communities navigating significant change. Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides public mental health services, with a private therapy community serving Penn and the Tettenhall corridor. The University of Wolverhampton's healthcare and psychology programmes feed clinical training into the local community.
