Clients may also find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps them identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs contributing to anxiety, while incorporating exposure techniques to gradually confront feared situations. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) when working with people struggling with anxiety. CBT can be a powerful tool in managing anxiety. By addressing distorted thought patterns and reframing them, you’re essentially training your brain to respond to stressors in a healthier way. This can lead to significant improvements in your overall quality of life. CBT can help reduce the intensity of anxiety and make it easier to cope with distressing situations. Over time, with consistent effort, these new ways of thinking can become more natural and automatic, making it easier to manage anxiety when it arises.
Anxiety can feel relentless and ever-present, often making us feel overwhelmed and irritable. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, including phobias, generalized anxiety, and social anxiety. We will focus on understanding the root causes of fear and anxiety, challenging and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and building effective coping strategies. With consistent effort and support, individuals can significantly reduce their anxiety and improve their quality of life.
We will work on techniques to manage stress, such as time management, exercise, and self-care practices, enhancing the ability to approach problems in a systematic, constructive way.
We will develop of a strong support network to provide emotional support and reduce isolation.
Anxiety or Fears are the most common conditions I have treated in my 50 years of practice, and the techniques I utilize can be very effective for these conditions. A certain amount of anxiety and fear can be functional, but too much of it can be crippling. Those who suffer with early trauma or PTSD from any time in life, can manifest symptoms of anxiety and fear. In-depth psychotherapy can also be effective and may be required to heal the source of chronic patterns of anxiety and fear. I offer regular free zoom seminars, which offer relaxation exercises to reduce stress.
