You've probably already tried to fix this on your own. You've had the late-night talks. You've promised to do better. And somehow you end up back in the same fight, or the same silence, within a few weeks. Most of the time this means you're stuck in a pattern, not that you're incompatible. Patterns are hard to see from the inside. My job is to help you see yours, and then to give you a different way through it. I use the Gottman Method, which is built on more than 40 years of research into what keeps couples together. We start with a careful assessment so we're working on the real problem, not the surface one. Then we meet weekly and practice the skills that matter most: raising an issue without triggering a fight, calming down when you're flooded, repairing after a rough moment, and rebuilding the friendship underneath everything. I also offer premarital counseling for engaged couples who'd rather learn these skills before the hard seasons arrive. Sessions are 90 minutes, in person in West St. Louis County or online anywhere in Missouri. Evenings and Saturdays available.

Middle Path Wellness Collective

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC
We specialize in relationship and marriage counseling for couples who feel stuck in recurring arguments, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to communicate in ways that actually bring them closer. Many couples come to therapy because they love each other but feel caught in patterns of misunderstanding, defensiveness, or distance. Our approach helps partners understand the emotional cycles beneath the conflict, improve communication, and rebuild trust and connection. Using evidence-based, attachment-informed methods, we help couples move out of blame and into a deeper understanding of each other so they can feel like a team again and create a more secure, supportive relationship.

Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC
I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Whether I work with individuals, couples, or families, I look at the make-up of people's lives systemically. One's childhood experiences, family relationships, and attachment styles all create a framework for one's thought, behavior, and actions. There is always more going on with people than what is happening in the therapy room. I enjoy working with couples and families a great deal because it gets at some of these root concerns more effectively and can be more transformative for the individuals involved. I employ interventions from Gottman, Structural, and Strategic Family Therapy. I see couples at different points, wanting to maximize their relationship, wanting to save it, wanting to end things. I work with LGBTQ+ and non-monogamous couples and families on a regular basis as do the other therapists in our practice.

Licensed Professional Counselor, LCPC, LPC, LCMHC, Coach
Relationships can become stuck in painful patterns even when both people care deeply about making things work. I help couples understand the dynamics beneath recurring conflict, improve communication and intimacy, rebuild trust, and develop healthier ways of connecting. My approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental, with room for honest conversations about attachment, sexuality, desire, boundaries, infidelity, and changing needs. I work with both traditional and nontraditional relationship structures, focusing not on what a relationship is “supposed” to look like, but on helping you build one that works for the people actually in it.
