Through a combination of therapeutic techniques I support people understand the story attached to their fears and anxiety and gain increased ability to be with their fears with increased acceptance and ability to work through them.

This is my specialization as I find the worst part of anxiety is that it is often misinterpreted by the self and others and can lead to low self-esteem and excessive shame. At CareWay, we will work to calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety. We will also incorporate the acceptance of anxiety as a natural emotion and work toward enabling movement in the direction of dreams despite sometimes feeling scared.
I have experience working with anxiety and fears from a psychodynamic, somatic and mindfulness-based cognitive (thought) approach. Therapy is not 'one size fits all' - so let's tailor an approach that works best for you.
The part of you that feels anxious has a great intention - it wants to keep you safe. That means we don't have to hate that part of ourselves. However, we also don't have to let it drive the bus of life.
