Body Image issues often go hand-in-hand with eating disorders and obesity and weight issues. People can judge their body harshly or have a negative relationship with it. Body image issues are often one of the latter topics that get discussed in therapy, because they are often so personal, and in some cases they may even be unknown to the client. There are a significant number of ways to address body image issues, but one that always is effective somewhat is to say to clients "Your body doesn't have a mouth. If it did, what would it say, and how would it say it?" Putting these words to one's body is a great and refreshing start to dealing with these important issues.

Embracing a positive body image is crucial for overall well-being. My service focuses on fostering a healthy relationship between individuals and their bodies. Through personalized sessions, I empower clients to challenge societal norms and self-criticism. Using a holistic approach that combines cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and self-compassion techniques, I guide individuals to reframe their perceptions, celebrate their uniqueness, and develop a more positive and accepting view of their bodies. Together, we work towards building confidence and self-esteem, promoting a journey of self-love and appreciation for all body shapes and sizes.

One of he deepest beliefs which we carry about ourselves is our view of our body and appearance. Far from being a surface concern, these beliefs have the power to shape our emotional selves and deeply impact our personal happiness. We support clients as they face these concerns by unpacking he roots of their self-beliefs and discovering pathways to personal happiness which exist beyond their thoughts of acceptability and appearance.
