HUGH R STEWART III
Hypnotherapist, Ph.D., ACHt.
I myself identify as queer, bi sensual, and identify my pronouns as he/him, they, them. There is a lot of crossover in the alternative communities I frequent at workshops, retreats, festivals, and polyamory. As a result I have become quite familiar, proficient, and can identify with this group of individuals. From being educated in social justice at Sex Geek Summer Camp, Loving More and The Poly Living Conference, The International School of Temple Arts, and The Essential Experience Community and workshop, I have become very involved in the LGBQT communities. This offers me first hand experience with the issues at hand in the LGBQT Community.

Bold Expressions Therapy
Psychologist, Psy.D.
As a member of the LGBT community, and as someone who holds degrees both in psychology and LGBT Health and Policy, I couple an academic understanding of the unique disparities that come with these identities with a profound personal knowledge of them in my own life. Not all patients have had positive experiences with the medical community, so it is my hope that my education and bisexual identity will serve my patients in a way that makes them feel both heard and seen. I also recognize that our identities can be static, or they can be fluid, and that the coming out process isn’t something we do just once: we do it over and over again. I do not personally identify as cisgender, and so I approach the issues facing the transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming communities with deep empathy and personal understanding. From fluidity to transitioning, hormone replacement therapy, to writing letters for surgery, I am committed to supporting my clients on their journeys. Not everyone experiences their own gender in the same way, so the discussion of gender as a construct and societal gender norms is at the forefront of our discussions in working through the big mess that is gender.

Jill Verofsky
Licensed Professional Counselor, M.S., L.P.C., N.C.C.
Inclusion requires work, not just a hashtag. Slapping a rainbow logo on a corporate profile during June while staying quiet when actual rights are threatened is performative. Real allyship costs something—whether that’s calling out bigotry in private rooms or supporting policies that protect vulnerable people.
Internal accountability matters. Being marginalized doesn't make a community immune to internal issues like racism, transphobia, ageism, or classism. True solidarity means fighting for the most vulnerable members under the umbrella, not just the most privileged ones.
