White Dove Counselling and Mediation
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, BA, BSW, RSW, Q.Med
Hi! I'm Angie. I am a registered social worker and I have been supporting residents of Saskatoon on their journeys since 2011. As a member of a dysfunctional family of origin, I have interacted with conflict, stemming from intergenerational abuse and addiction, from a very early age. In 2021, I began taking conflict resolution training and fell in love with guiding others through conflict and communication challenges that often arise out of maladaptive coping strategies. I offer strengths-based, solution focused counselling and a conflict resolution services to individuals, couples, families and groups. Effective conflict resolution facilitates empowerment through self-determination, capacity building and increased communication for healthier relationships. I began private practice in 2022 as "Angie Howlett - The Conflict Counselor". However, this name quickly evolved in 2024 when I began volunteering for an international indigenous child and family organization. To maintain confidentiality and privacy of volunteers and service users, each member of the organization is given a spirit or tribal name. After a naming ceremony with an elder, a chief and the member who brought me to the organization, the name I was given means peace parity and hope for the future and loosely translates to white dove. And so, White Dove Counselling and Mediation was born! I practice on Treaty 6 Territory and use a trauma informed lens. I recognize various socio-economic barriers limiting your ability to access counselling and/or conflict resolution services. Therefore, I offer flexible in-person or virtual sessions outside regular business hours and sliding scale fees for those with no private health insurance. You may be able to claim your session through employer health benefits. I am preapproved by NIHB and Victim Services. Check with your provider(s) today to ensure coverage. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards Peace, Parity and Hope for the Future!

Do you find yourself questioning your relationships, your identity, or where your life is heading? You might be burned out from masking or holding it together, drained from a separation or life change, or noticing distance growing between you and your partner. Perhaps you're navigating neurodivergence, stuck in codependency, or grieving a life that didn't go as planned. You may not remember the last time you felt truly like yourself. But something in you is ready for change. You want to feel steady, understood, and clear about your next step. I can help you slow down, make sense of what's happening, and begin moving forward.
I work with adults, couples and families navigating anxiety, burnout, neurodivergence, codependency, identity exploration, relationship conflict and life transitions. I focus on attachment patterns, ADHD and Autism masking, premarital counselling, separation and divorce recovery, and supporting diverse identities and non-traditional relationship structures.
Clients come to me when they want a therapist who sees the full picture, not just the surface. Sessions are warm, collaborative, and never rushed. I meet you where you are and we work at your pace. You don't need the right words or a clear goal before reaching out. I offer a free consultation so we can explore whether working together feels right.

We deliver evidence-based therapy that looks beyond surface-level symptoms to identify and treat the underlying drivers of mental and emotional struggle. Many forms of therapy only address symptoms. This may be a good fit for some, but many people need to go beyond symptoms to heal and to lead a full, satisfying life. Our hope for those we serve is to not only experience symptoms reduction but to live a life that is meaningful to them. Our warm, compassionate therapists offer a safe and supportive space for you to feel seen and heard and to explore your challenges without shame.

Rising Calm Center
Professional Christian Counsellor, MS, CMHC, CLC
Life can feel so heavy when anxiety won’t let your mind rest, when fear wakes you at night, or when stress and self-doubt erode your confidence and faith. When burnout creeps in and relationships begin to crack, holding it all together can start to feel overwhelming.
At Rising Calm Center, we understand that weight. Our Christian counselors help young professionals, couples, and families find calm, rebuild trust, and walk in the peace Jesus promised—rather than performing under the pressures this world demands.
We integrate faith-based wisdom with evidence-based care, drawing from CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, Gottman, EFT, Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed work, tapping, and breathwork. This combination helps you retrain your nervous system, heal emotional and spiritual wounds, and live with genuine peace.
Clients often come to us struggling with anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, grief, burnout, relationship conflict, or a sense of spiritual disconnection. Here, you’ll find compassion, honesty, and practical tools to feel safe in your body and centered in your spirit again.
What we offer:
• Free consultations for new clients — relief can start now
• Same-week availability, including evenings (Mon–Thu until 8 p.m.)
• Sliding-scale rates for affordable care
• In-person, telehealth, or phone sessions
You don’t have to face the storm alone. There is calm on the other side—and together, we can find it.

If you want calmer conversations, stronger communication, and a relationship that feels more secure and connected, therapy can help you build the skills to get there. I work with couples and adults navigating relationship challenges, including communication issues, infidelity, marital conflict, premarital counselling, divorce, and family stress. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and self-esteem concerns using practical, evidence-based tools.
Many couples begin therapy not because their relationship is failing, but because they want to strengthen it. Sessions with me are supportive, direct, and focused on real progress. Together we work on communication, conflict resolution, and breaking the patterns that keep relationships stuck so you can move forward with greater understanding and connection.

Saskatoon is Saskatchewan's largest city and an emerging hub for agriculture technology, mining, and biotechnology — sectors that shape an occupational therapy landscape distinct from more diversified Canadian metros. The city has a significant Indigenous population, with First Nations and Métis residents comprising a larger proportion of urban residents than in most Canadian cities outside Winnipeg, and therapists offering trauma-informed, culturally grounded care — including work on intergenerational trauma from residential schools — are an especially important part of the local mental health landscape. Saskatchewan Health Authority provides public mental health services, while the University of Saskatchewan's psychology programs supply clinical training to the local community. Saskatoon's cold winters and geographic isolation contribute to seasonal mood challenges that therapists here address as a recurring clinical priority.
