Saffron Marriner

Counsellor/Therapist, MBACP (Accred)
My name is Saffron. I am an accredited member of the BACP and have been practicing as a counsellor and psychotherapist for twenty years both within an agency setting as well as within my private practice, where I offer face to face, online, telephone and walk and talk appointments. I have worked with clients across the age range of 16 up to and past the retirement age. The service that I offer welcomes people from all backgrounds in a way which is non discriminatory and supportive. Counselling offers an opportunity to process personal challenges and difficulties within an environment that is supportive and confidential. At times this might include discussing painful and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, emotions. You are not alone with this as many people experience these at different points of their lives. When this is happening it can be hard to remain in a positive and focused frame of mind. Sometimes people feel overwhelmed and feel unable to continue to cope in the way that they usually could with their life on a day to day basis. One of the ways that counselling can help is by providing a space to process personal, behavioural and relationship issues in a safe and confidential way with a qualified professional. My role is to support you with this process in a way that is non judgmental, free from criticism or giving advice as to what I believe is the right thing for you to do. By working together in this way I am there alongside you as you find your own answers in a way that is right for you as we are all individual and unique and what is right for one person may not feel right for someone else. Of course you don't have to tell me everything about yourself and your life if you are not comfortable with this however you may find it beneficial to be as open and honest as you are able to be.

Counsellor/Therapist, MNCPS (Acc.)
Hi, I'm Lavinia. If you and your partner keep having the same argument, feel disconnected, or find yourselves walking on eggshells - you're not alone, and things can change. I specialise in couples therapy, and also work with individuals. My approach is warm, honest and practical: we'll make sense of what's going on between you, and build small, realistic steps that help your relationship feel easier, closer and more like you again. I use proven tools and techniques - without the jargon. Sessions feel like real conversations with direction: we set goals together, track what's working, and adapt as we go. I work with couples and individuals navigating: recurring arguments & communication breakdowns · trust & repair after conflict · intimacy & emotional disconnection · anxiety creeping into the relationship · family & in-law boundaries · life transitions & burnout · reconnecting after a rough patch Practicalities: 50-minute sessions • Online or in person in my Sandbach office • Individual & Couples. 🎁 20% Off All Therapy Sessions: Summer is here - and so is 20% off all therapy sessions. Let's make it count! Next step: Introductory Session 50 minutes | Individuals & Couples The first step is an initial session together - a relaxed conversation to get to know each other, hear a little about what's been going on, and explore how I may be able to support you. There's no pressure or commitment at this stage. Prefer to skip the Introductory Session? You're welcome to book your first therapy session directly. Aravinda Nandakumar

Counsellor/Therapist, EMDR, EFT, SCHEMA Therapy, M.Sc. (Counselling & Family Therapy)
Are you struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, difficult relationship patterns, or experiences from the past that continue to affect you today? You may find yourself repeating the same patterns, feeling disconnected in your relationships, struggling with self-worth, or finding it difficult to manage emotions despite trying to move forward. I work with adults, couples and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, attachment concerns, self-esteem difficulties and long-standing emotional patterns. My approach is warm, collaborative and personalised. I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Schema Therapy and EMDR, along with other evidence-based approaches, depending on your individual needs. I aim to understand not only what you are experiencing now, but also the deeper emotional and relational patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties. For couples, I use an attachment-focused EFT lens to help partners understand their cycles of conflict, emotional disconnection and unmet needs, and work towards greater safety and connection. I offer online therapy to clients across India and, where permitted by applicable local requirements, to clients in the UAE and UK. If you’re considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.

John Castleford

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.
