Leslie Crabtree
Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC
Anxiety disorders are now the most common mental health disorders. If you’re struggling with anxiety, I offer help to recover. I have over 20 years of experience specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders. I have helped many clients recover from social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, Pure-O, intrusive thoughts, phobias and panic disorder. I understand how difficult life can be when dealing with these and I offer hope for relief from your suffering. I have developed a plan to guide you through your recovery. This includes two levels of healing. Level 1 is balancing the nervous system to reduce and eliminate all stress related physical and emotional symptoms such as stomach issues, headaches, sleep issues, intrusive thoughts, ruminations, lack of focus, etc. Balancing the nervous system and reducing and/or eliminating symptoms usually takes about 3 months. Level 2 recovery involves healing any trauma or underlying factors that lead to the anxiety disorder. This root cause healing is important for full recovery and no relapses in the future. I offer a safe, compassionate, patient approach. There is hope for recovery!

Have you been avoiding the people, places, or things that used to give you pleasure? Do you feel hijacked by your emotions? Are you a perfectionist or someone who needs things to be a certain way all the time? Has anxiety or fears caused your life-space to shrink? You may be suffering from an anxiety disorder. In your work with me we will focus on understanding how you think and feel and construct your world along with the factors that are holding you back. We will work on ways for you to gradually and safely re-engage with those aspects of your life that you used to love. In our work together I will help you to reduce the subtle and the obvious emotional and cognitive avoidance that derails you and maintains your fear cycle. We will focus on learning new skills, practicing new ways to approach life based on your needs, interests, and values. We will focus on reducing felt chaos and replacing behavioral and emotional rigidity with flexibility .

We often refrain from getting the help we need for many reasons, and in doing so, we fail to seek the help we need and often forget that it's never too late to ask for help.
