Anxiety therapists in Mila Doce, Texas TX
Kathryn Chacra
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
I'm here to tell you how therapy can help with anxiety. Sometimes, anxiety can feel like a big, scary monster that won't leave you alone. But guess what? You don't have to face it alone!
When you come to therapy, you get to talk to someone who really listens and understands. That's me, your therapist. I'm like a guide, here to help you navigate through the stormy seas of anxiety.
Together, we'll figure out what triggers your anxiety and come up with ways to tame it. Sometimes, just talking about your feelings can make them feel lighter. Other times, we might try relaxation techniques, like deep breathing or mindfulness exercises, to help calm your mind.
I'll also teach you strategies to challenge those anxious thoughts that keep popping up. We'll work on changing your perspective so you can see things in a more positive light.
And remember, progress takes time. It's like planting a seed and watching it grow. With each session, you'll get stronger and more confident in facing your fears.
So, if anxiety is making your days feel cloudy and dark, don't hesitate to reach out. Together, we'll bring back the sunshine into your life.

Elizabeth Starnes
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC-S, ATR, REAT
Anxiety and Fears are based in the stories we tell ourselves. Each can develop throughout our lives in many different ways. My experience with clients has been that anxiety is steaming from previous traumatic experiences. These experiences can be childhood abuse or neglect, being bullied at school, to name a few. Or simply from a negative experience that becomes a story we continue to tell ourselves and believe. My role is to listen and allow the story to unfold over time. I understand takes time to trust a therapist. And it takes time to tell your story. I enjoy adding Expressive Arts to the process because it tells so much nonverbally. There has been times where it uncovered issues the clients never thought about or shared. I have discovered through my own work and working with clients that it can connect us to our inner self that is full of the insight we need to heal.
