Adolescents face pressures and obstacles they are unable to handle due to their developmental age. Adolescents experience strong emotions that they are not mature enough to understand, much less express them in a way parents and caregivers can understand. I work with adolescents who are struggling with LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, relationships, depression, self-esteem and self-harm issues. I have adolescent therapy groups where these topics are discussed, as well as, the effects of social media, body image, bullying, peer pressure and what it means to have values, morals and responsibilities.
