I assist people to work through issues of loss and grief that may have occurred through bereavement, divorce or separation , or involving other family members or friends. My focus is on recognising the legitimancy of a mourning process, which requires appropriate time and support.

Loss or Grief comes in many forms and each of us experiences this in our own way. As such, it is important to establish a safe place where you can feel heard and have the space to reflect to enable you to determine and work with me to establish next steps.
Our therapists are experience in working with loss and grief. Some have specific specialities, such as working with siblings who have experienced loss at a young age. Others work in broader grief related areas such as the grief associated with injury and unexpected change in life circumstances that thwarts goals and desires. We are members of the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement and regularly ensure we have update professional development in this area so that we can continue to provide a quality service for our clients.
I offer compassionate support to help you navigate the complexities of loss or grief. Through a personalised, empathetic approach, we will explore your emotions, develop coping strategies, and find resilience, guiding you toward healing and renewed purpose. You're not alone in this journey.
In the realm of grief and loss, it is essential to understand that these experiences are multi-layered and complex. One must recognise that grief and loss often maintain their significant impact over time, meaning the ‘size’ of the loss remains ‘big’ thus, the process of healing through grief entails growing around that loss. Clients are provided with the tools and support to navigate their intricate emotions and the challenges that accompany bereavement and loss. Through the application of evidence-based practice (schema therapy methods, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, attachment approaches), fostering a healthy safe therapeutic alliance and tailoring interventions to each client’s unique needs, clients are guided in working through their grief and adjusting to their loss, ultimately fostering emotional healing and resilience. Be it coping with the loss of a loved one, managing life transitions, or addressing other forms of grief, the goal remains consistent: to steer clients towards a path of acceptance and a positive reconnection with life.

Everyone suffers from loss and grief, whether that be from the death of a loved one, including pets, the loss of a job, the breakup of a relationship, the change in lifestyle and future. Loss and grief can be quite debilitating and there is no specific timeline for it. I hold space for clients to allow expression of their pain and suffering with the hopes of helping them to tolerate emotional disturbance and create meaning from the loss and grief going forward whilst simultaneously validating their experience of the loss and accompanying grief.
