Dr. Michael Grey- Grey Insight
Marriage and Family Therapist, PsyD, LMFT
As a gay man, you’ve had to navigate a world that hasn’t always made space for you. Maybe you’ve struggled with acceptance—within your family, relationships, or even within yourself. You might carry the weight of shame, internalized messages about masculinity, or the scars of rejection and discrimination. Perhaps intimacy feels complicated, dating feels exhausting, or you’re struggling to build the kind of relationships and community you truly crave.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. In therapy, you’ll find a space where you don’t have to explain or justify your experiences—where your identity is not just accepted but affirmed. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing, unpack the narratives that no longer serve you, and work toward a deeper sense of confidence, connection, and self-acceptance.
My approach is sex-positive, trauma-informed, and decolonized, recognizing the unique intersections of sexuality, gender, culture, and mental health. Whether you’re navigating relationships, self-worth, intimacy, or the complexities of being a gay man in today’s world, this is a space to show up fully—as you are, without shame or fear.
Your struggles are real, but so is your resilience. You deserve support that honors your experiences and helps you build the life, love, and sense of self that feel truly right for you.

Psychologist, PsyD
Navigating men's issues can be complex, encompassing challenges related to masculinity, relationships, career, and mental health. As a psychologist specializing in men's issues, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for men to explore their feelings, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and cultivate meaningful connections. Through tailored therapy approaches, I aim to help my male clients break free from societal expectations, embrace vulnerability, and achieve greater self-understanding and fulfillment in all aspects of their lives.

I joined a men’s group in 2002, and my life has never been the same. Until then, I’d never thought much about how hard it is for men to seek help – and how men struggle unnecessarily as a result.
American society teaches men that they should be able to figure things out on their own, that they should keep things to themselves, and they should “tough it out” when things are hard. Most men only have a friend or two who they might be able to talk with about “real” issues, and that lack of social connection is tragic.
Seeking help doesn’t mean a man is weak – it means he’s smart. It means he’s stopped buying into the B.S. that making more money and owning shinier stuff and looking cool and having the right relationship is going to solve his problems and make him happy. In other words, he’s getting real.
My therapeutic approach is more about action than talk. Yes, I need to know the experiences that formed you, and clients usually find me to be a non-judgmental listener who makes it safe to unburden themselves. But I want to start empowering you quickly, with tools for mind, body, and spirit that are known for their efficiency and effectiveness.
So, whether you’ve never sought coaching or therapy, or have found traditional talk therapy to be less than you want, I think you’ll find a conversation with me a good place to start.
