Nathan Duff
Licensed Professional Counselor, M.Ed., LPC (CCTP, CYMHS, C-DBT, C-PD)
To be honest about my experience with EDs, I can't say I'm very confident working with an eating disorder as a primary diagnosis, and I haven't had any specialized training, although I have considered it. However, to the extent that bulimia and anorexia co-occur with borderline personality and trauma (my two primary areas of practice) I have actually seen some success, particularly with bulimic BPD clients. (Which may also make use of my DBT skills.) With appropriate safety planning and oversight I would consider treating these disorders on a case-by-case basis, particularly if your needs line up with the disorders I regularly treat.

MJB Wellness LLC
Hypnotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist and Coach, Certified Sexological Bodyworker, Sex Educator, Certified Reiki
It is widely accepted that weight loss, eating disorders, and anxiety are all issues that hypnosis is successful at dealing with. All have their root in emotional issues and the habitual way people see themselves and their lives. Research shows that most people who are grossly overweight have suffered some trauma in their lives leading them to holding on to excess weight and no amount of dieting will permanently change that without resolving those past traumas and changing habits and relationship with food. I see many such clients in my practice and we are able to find them healing and moving on to healthier lifestyle.

Leslie Worley
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW-C
Eating disorder can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes - metaphorically and literally. Whether it's restriction, binging, purging, hating your body, being afraid of food, it's all an unhealthy relationship with food, with your body and stems from a core belief that we will find together. In my work, you'll learn to urge surf whatever impulse is driving the eating disorder and discover your value that is greater than the urge to act on the eating disorder.

Dr. Linda G. Ritchie, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, Certified Hypnotherapist
If you’re struggling with your relationship with food, you may feel caught in a cycle of restriction, overeating, or constant preoccupation with what you should or shouldn’t eat. You might feel out of control at times, then overly strict with yourself at others—followed by guilt, shame, or frustration. Even when you know what you “should” be doing, it can feel incredibly difficult to change these patterns.
I help clients understand and change the underlying patterns that drive disordered eating—both emotionally and behaviorally. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we identify the thought patterns that fuel guilt, control, and all-or-nothing thinking around food. With clinical hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/tapping), and NLP, we work at a deeper level to shift the emotional triggers and automatic responses that keep you stuck in the cycle. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you step out of the struggle with food and reconnect with your values, self-worth, and a more balanced way of living.
What’s often missing isn’t knowledge—you likely already understand nutrition or what a “healthy” pattern looks like. What’s missing is a way to interrupt the emotional and automatic patterns that override that knowledge in the moment. Without that deeper shift, the cycle of control, loss of control, and self-criticism tends to repeat.
The fact that you’re here suggests you’re ready for something different. If you’re willing to approach this in a new way, I can help you develop a healthier, more stable relationship with food—one that feels more natural, less stressful, and aligned with how you want to live your life.
