Denise Jones
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, LCSW-C
Most (though not all) of the emotional abuse victims I see are victims in classic narcissistic relationships. Sometimes the client sees them as such and sometimes they don't, but that's not what really matters. What really matters is that all experiences of emotional abuse deserve special attention. In such cases, I incorporate narcissistic victimhood/abuse education with the client's EMDR sessions. (In some cases, outside referrals may need to be considered.)

Kelly McAleer
Psychologist, Psy.D.
The effects of emotional abuse can continue long after the relationship or circumstances have changed. I work with adults who grew up with critical, controlling, emotionally unpredictable, or emotionally abusive parents and family members, as well as those experiencing emotional abuse in current relationships. Therapy can help you understand the lasting impact of these experiences on self-worth, trust, boundaries, and relationships, and begin changing patterns that no longer serve you.
