I'm from Los Angeles, where I still live, and I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. Over the past five years I've worked across private practice, community mental health, and school-based settings, where I developed a real love for trauma work with teens.
My approach is holistic, with attention to the mind, body, and spirit. I see therapy as deeply collaborative, and I believe every teen is capable of healing when they're connected with support that actually fits them. That fit matters more than almost anything else, a teen who feels talked at or managed will politely wait out the hour, and not much will change.
Naturally, most teens don't arrive thrilled about talking to a stranger. Some are guarded, some are exhausted, some agreed to come mostly to get you off their back. I get it, I've been there myself. My aim is to meet your teen where they are and build a relationship steady enough that they can lean on it on the heavier days. That usually takes a few sessions, and it's normal for progress to look like very little for a while before it looks like something.
I'm trained in several modalities, including EMDR, parts work, Gestalt, CRM, and TRM. Rather than list more acronyms, I'd be glad to talk through what your teen is dealing with and answer any questions you have.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
Approach Description: I start by getting to know your teen: what they're into, what they can't stand, what their world actually looks like. Developmentally, trust in adults is touch and go at this age, and that's reasonable. So I let rapport build at their pace and try to make it as low-pressure and as fun as I can. That might mean playing games, talking about their hobbies, putting on music. It's not filler; it's how a teen figures out whether I'm someone worth being honest with.
From there we move into what brought them in, what they're living with, what's going on at home and at school, and how I can be most useful to them. When it's clinically appropriate, I may invite you into a few sessions, and I'll consult with you separately to get a fuller picture of the family.
Sessions with me are casual and client-led. Once the relationship feels solid, we can start working with whatever they're carrying; grief, worry, social stress, fear, etc. I'm equipped to help your teen hold it, and to help them build the skills that go with it: naming what they feel, saying it out loud, communicating with the people around them. Where we go depends entirely on what your child needs.

I work with teens healing from traumatic experiences and difficult family dynamics, navigating abrupt change such as a death in the family, a divorce, a move, or a new school, or working to build a better relationship with themselves.
It often takes a few sessions before a teen settles into the work. What they are carrying may come out indirectly at first, through irritability, flatness, or long silences. That is a normal part of the process rather than a sign that therapy is not working.
If your teen is in the middle of something difficult, or if you are noticing changes you cannot quite name, I would be glad to talk with you about whether this would be a good fit.
Adolescence is a demanding stage, and parenting through it can be equally so. I am glad you are seeking support for your teen. That instinct matters more than having the right language for what is happening, and it is often what makes the difference.
