I have been in practice for 15 years, and assist individual adults with various issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, stress, substance use, difficult relationships, and other issues. All adults are welcome. In my sessions I draw on the strengths of a variety of different therapies, such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and many others, to help you achieve your therapy goals. I provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space to clarify and address their thoughts and emotions. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Counselling Therapist in Alberta, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (Canada), and also a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellor in California. For more information or to book a session or initial consultation, please see the rest of my profile, visit my website (https://pinetreepsychotherapy.com), or contact me directly. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Client Focus

Session Format: Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: Initially we typically explore your issue and context, and then start to create a plan for moving forward. The main counselling framework that guides my work is called "Cognitive Behaviour Therapy" which focuses on the connection between thoughts, behaviours, feelings, and your environment. I also bring in other approaches that might help you understand and address your issue, and move towards a more enjoyable, peaceful, fulfilling, and self-actualized life.
