Debbie Cherry

Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
After 25 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CA, TX & FL. I know conflict is not the problem. Conflict is natural in close relationships. What matters most is HOW couples talk to each other when emotions run high. That’s why I created the research-based Happily Partnered Playbook — to help couples end negative cycles and grow closer.

Amority Health - Rachel Cooper - Therapy for High-Achieving Women

Therapist, MS, LPC Associate
If you’re a high-achieving woman in the HFHA loop of constant striving to get things “right,” struggling to say no, or feeling anxious and exhausted from relentlessly trying to keep up with everything, you understand firsthand how overwhelming it's becoming to maintain the mask. You may find yourself overthinking decisions, being highly self-critical, or feeling like you can’t quite settle, even when things are going well. Over time, these patterns can become mentally exhausting and difficult to shift. In session, we focus on understanding what’s driving these patterns and aim to develop a more flexible, sustainable way of thinking, responding, and relating to yourself.

Aubrey Richardson

Licensed Professional Counselor, MS, LPC
I work with high achieving women, caregivers, and helping professionals who are used to being the one who holds everything together. They anticipate needs, take responsibility for other people’s emotions, and say yes when they mean no. They push through when they are depleted and keep going long after their capacity is gone. For a long time, this worked. It earned success, stability, and connection. Until it didn’t. Most clients come to me when burnout has turned into resentment. When relationships feel one sided. When the emotional load becomes impossible to ignore. This is not an individual failure. These patterns are often shaped by early roles, expectations, and environments that rewarded overfunctioning and self sacrifice. In our work together, we focus on identifying these patterns, understanding what is actually yours to carry, and building the capacity to do less without collapsing into guilt or anxiety. This is not about becoming a different person. It is about creating a life that feels sustainable, reciprocal, and aligned. If you are waiting until things calm down or get worse before reaching out, that waiting is part of the pattern. You do not have to keep doing this.

Dr. Jacob Lebar

Psychologist, PhD, JD
Figuring out how to create meaningful change in your life can feel overwhelming, especially if you aren't sure where to start. I work with and for adults to manage the daily realities of anxiety, OCD, panic, and comorbid depression. My practice is explicitly neurodiversity-affirming; I dedicate a significant portion of my work to helping adults unpack the impact of living with overlooked ADHD or Autism into adulthood. Additionally, my background as a former lawyer gives me a grounded, firsthand perspective on the unique stressors faced by individuals in highly technical, high-pressure professional fields. If you are ready to explore what therapy can do for you, we may be a great fit.

Tamara C. Taylor

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, NCC, MCHC, ASDCS
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with board certification, Master Certified Health Coach and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist with 19+ years of experience, I want to hear your story. Why? Because it is your story and you deserve to tell it. Your story could be about happiness, love, hurt, anger, stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions and grief just to name a few. Sometimes all anyone wants to do is tell someone caring and compassionate their perspective regarding their story. As a therapist, I believe in giving everyone I meet a clean, unbiased slate. No judgment here. I will use a holistic (mind and body), open-minded and solution-focused approach in assisting anyone in telling their story, processing the events and moving forward with their life goals. I will support and at times coach you on practical ways to build tools to help you navigate this thing we call life.

Madison Short Conteh - Joy in the Morning Counseling

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, RPT
I've been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist for nearly a decade now, and I love this work because it is so full of hope. Usually, when people come to see me, they're not feeling very hopeful, because the problem feels too big to handle. It's sucking the joy out of their relationships, or their life, and they're overwhelmed. Life has let them down, they've been disappointed, and now they're stuck in a spiral of the worst feelings. Some part of them though, knows there is hope out there, that things can be better and they can have relief. That's where therapy, and my role in your story, comes in. I get to hold the hope for you, because I know this path. I've been walking it with people just like you for years. I know that parts of this path are hard, or scary, or beautiful, or relaxing, and I know that all of it is heading towards you experiencing freedom. We walk it together so that you don't have to hold your own burdens, I have special skills that help us along the path like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This is a way we use the brain's natural ability to process information, and alleviate feeling stuck in a past experience or experiences. It's especially useful for trauma. I use Person Centered Talk Therapy. We create the space to sit together with what's on your mind or your heart, to give it what it needs, and move through it. I use Child Centered Play Therapy so that kids can have the same benefits of therapy as adults, but in a child-attuned way. Kids aren't ready to talk through things, they express them through behaviors. Play therapy gives kids the opportunity to play through those behaviors and find healing. With parents I offer Child Parent Relationship Therapy training, where I give you the same tools I use as a therapist, but to use within your own home. In all of this, I often integrate things like somatic work, parts work, and sandtray work.

Austin's explosive tech-industry growth has brought an influx of young professionals navigating burnout, identity shifts, and the pressures of rapid lifestyle change in an increasingly expensive city. The city has a large LGBTQ+ community and strong demand for affirming therapists specializing in gender identity, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. The University of Texas and major hospital systems including Ascension Seton and St. David's HealthCare provide substantial mental health resources alongside the city's growing network of private practices. Many Austin therapists offer telehealth, making it easier to find care across the wider metro and surrounding Hill Country communities.
