Therapy with me is about more than finding ways to cope with what you're feeling. I'm interested in understanding the patterns underneath, how you learned to protect yourself, what happens when you feel hurt or disconnected, and what your emotions may be trying to communicate.
I bring warmth, curiosity and honesty into the therapy room, while also being an active and engaged therapist. I won't simply sit back and listen; I'll help you slow things down, notice what is happening beneath the surface, and make connections that may be difficult to see when you're in the middle of it. Whether you're coming on your own or with your partner, you don't need to arrive knowing exactly what needs to change. We can figure that out together.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
Approach Description: In our first few sessions, we'll focus on getting to know you beyond the concern that brought you to therapy including your relationships, experiences, strengths, and the patterns that may be shaping how you feel today.
We'll explore what's happening now, what may be underneath it, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we'll identify meaningful goals for therapy and begin building a path toward them.
As our work continues, I won't just ask what happened? We'll also get curious about what you felt, what you needed, how you responded, and what your mind and body were trying to protect you from.

My practice is particularly suited to people navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, emotional overwhelm, attachment wounds, life transitions and patterns that seem to keep repeating despite their best efforts to change them. I offer a free consultation for prospective clients who would like to talk briefly about what they're looking for and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.
