I offer a warm, straightforward, and non-judgmental space where you can talk about the things that are often hardest to say out loud - sex, intimacy, conflict, trust, desire, and the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships. My approach is trauma-informed and affirming, blending clinical skill with real-life practicality (and the occasional well-timed bit of humor). Whether you’re coming in as an individual or as a couple, we’ll work together to build clarity, confidence, and connection, so your relationships can feel safer, healthier, and more satisfying.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Social Learning Therapy Based on the idea that people learn behaviors by observing others. It applies modeling and reinforcement to encourage healthy change.
Approach Description: My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and affirming—I show up as a real human (with clinical skills, not clinical coldness) and we build a plan that fits you, not a one-size-fits-all checklist. I work from an integrative, biopsychosocial lens, blending CBT/CPT for thoughts and trauma processing, ACT + mindfulness/MBCT for values-based living and nervous-system steadiness, and DBT skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier communication. For shame, self-criticism, and identity work, I often weave in Compassion-Focused, Existential/Humanistic, Feminist, and Person-Centered perspectives to keep the work grounded in dignity, autonomy, and real-life context.
In relationship work, I draw heavily from Gottman Method and EFT to strengthen connection, repair conflict, and rebuild trust. When trauma is a core piece, I may incorporate EMDR to help the brain and body process what’s been stuck. Throughout, Motivational Interviewing, Adlerian, and Social Learning strategies help us understand patterns, build insight, and practice new skills—so progress isn’t just something you “get” in session, but something you can actually use on a random Tuesday.

- Online Therapy Details: Secure, judgment-free teletherapy (video sessions) for Alberta clients—support for relationships, intimacy, and sexual wellness from the comfort of your own space.
At Eros Therapeutic, I support adults - individuals, couples, and other relationship structures - in navigating intimacy, identity, and emotional connection with safe, evidence-based care. I came into this work because I know how complex relationships and sexuality can feel, especially when you’ve spent a long time feeling misunderstood or unseen. My goal is to be the kind of therapist who listens deeply, shows up fully, and respects your path without judgment. I’m here to support you, not “fix” you.
My clinical approach blends genuine human connection with structured, research-informed methods, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and the Gottman Method for couples. Therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all—I adapt our work to your needs, experiences, and goals, whether we’re addressing trauma, anxiety, self-worth, sexuality, gender identity, or relationship dynamics. I’m also affirming and inclusive: all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds are welcome here—you won’t need to justify who you are in this space.
I work collaboratively and transparently, meaning you’ll always know what we’re working on and why. I share tools, provide clear psychoeducation, and invite your feedback so you feel empowered (not left guessing). Sessions are available in-person and online, and I offer support through sex therapy, relationship/couples counselling, individual counselling, gender-affirming therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.
