Approach Description: I use a mixed bag of modalities in order to create a flexible and appropriate intervention for each individual client. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for relationship counselling which is an evidence based approach which uses attachment theory at its base. I am also certified in DBT, and use the tenants of acceptance and judgement paired with cognitive behavioural skills. My practice is client centred and actively address the power imbalances that can be present in therapy. I am informed by multiple ways of approaching human emotions and do not think of my practice as a one size fits all approach.
