Rebecca Connor, LMFT Practice Description
I specialize in complex (developmental) trauma and grief therapy. I have much experience working with individuals traversing challenging and sometimes flooding emotions. From 2003 to 2015 I led at least two retreats annually for women and for relationships. I plan to begin retreats and groups for grief in the fall of 2023. Many people that I work with are in life transitions and need guidance to reframe hardship and overwhelm into growth and wisdom. I guide individuals toward a deeper connection with their own unique resources and wisdom to allow for deeper and more expansive perspective to guide with moving through outdated patterns and life stories. Since 1996 I've specialized in body-centered psychotherapy beginning with two year plus trainings in Hakomi, then the Psychomotor Institute and finally Somatic Transformation. I also specialize in guiding highly sensitive individuals from overstimulation to insight and grounded self-reflection and growth. I have also participated in art therapy programs through UC Berkeley and have been practicing my own art since the 1990s. I have much professional and personal experience with dream work, psychoanalytical work and jungian and ritual work.
