I specialize in working with the immigrant population providing support in areas like acculturation and resettlement, intergenerational trauma, and social advocacy.
My theoretical orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy, but I am clinically trained to incorporate a variety of different interventions depending on the client’s needs and presenting issues. In addition to CBT, I often use gestalt therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic techniques in my sessions.
I take the time to build a trusting, collaborative relationship with my clients so that they feel heard and supported. I actively listen to my clients' needs and goals for therapy, help them identify their strengths and resources, and empower them to make positive change.
