Theresa Rybchinski (She/Her)
Registered Social Worker, Registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW, Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, SP

I understand how overwhelming it can be when traditional therapy doesn’t fully help you. My approach focuses on helping you reconnect with yourself in a safe and empowering way.
For over ten years, I have studied how stress and trauma affect the nervous system. I find ways to restore balance and ease. I know healing is not the same for everyone. I work with each person to create a personalized, body-based approach that helps change survival patterns into thriving ones.
I believe you are not your trauma, anxiety, or pain. You have a strong ability to heal. My role is to help you tap into that ability, break old patterns, and build a life where you feel more at home in your body and more connected to yourself.
If you are ready to explore a new way of healing that honors your body, mind, and nervous system, I would love to support you on this journey. I offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation call to see if I am a good fit for you.

Approach Description: I offer a person-centred and individualized approach to meet your needs. I hold the belief that humans need humans to heal, and as a fellow human I show up in the therapeutic space weaving my lived, professional and educational experience to support you on your healing journey. I call myself an integrative therapist, blending cognitive (mind), somatic (body), mindfulness (spiritual) and neuroscience (brain), to provide a holistic approach to mental health healing.
I take seriously the term trauma-informed care and am intentional with showing up to provide culturally sensitive care for each individual I work alongside and will always collaborate with you acknowledging I may have training and experience but I am not the expert of your life but in fact you are, but just may have lost your way at some point.

I believe that healing involves more than just managing symptoms—it’s about reclaiming your sense of self. As a somatic trauma therapist trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I utilize a non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive approach to mental health.
My work is grounded in the understanding that stress, trauma, and chronic overwhelm are not just mental experiences; they are deeply embedded in the body and nervous system. Whether you are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, addiction recovery, burnout, or stress-related issues, I offer a therapeutic space where you can feel supported, seen, and empowered.
Through a holistic, body-based approach, we will explore how past experiences influence your emotions, thoughts, and nervous system reactions today. By working with your body’s innate wisdom, we can gently uncover and release stored trauma, strengthen your resilience, and create lasting change. My approach is informed by neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, and liberation psychology, blending traditional therapy with somatic practices, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation techniques to help you reconnect with your inner strength.
For those seeking psychedelic integration therapy, I provide specialized support for individuals undergoing ketamine-assisted therapy through their physician. While I do not administer ketamine myself, my experience in ketamine-assisted therapy clinics, along with research on the therapeutic effects of psilocybin, enables me to assist you in processing insights and integrating them into daily life.
Healing is not about fixing what’s "broken"; it’s about rediscovering your wholeness. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
