Divorce or the ending of a relationship can be one of the most emotionally challenging transitions in a person’s life. It often brings a mix of grief, relief, fear, and uncertainty, along with changes in identity, routines, and relationships. Whether you are in the process of separating or adjusting to life after divorce, therapy can offer support and clarity during this time. Are you feeling like a jumbled mass of goo? Did you know that as the caterpillar transforms in the chrysalis, it totally breaks down into a slurry of goo before reforming into the beautiful being that we call a butterfly? I have found that to be a powerful image in considering the process of transformational change, especially that of divorce. We tend to focus on the end result of the butterfly without acknowledging the hard work of the caterpillar and the messy work of the chrysalis. Holistic Life Coaching offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to examine and explore what's happening for you in this moment of transition and transformation. I am NOT offering therapy; our work together will not focus on the failings of the past but on how to get you the life you want next. Our work will be to give you the space to become. A space for you to speak your truth fully without filter. A space to find your true voice today. A space to find your feet and your footing as you learn to walk forward as an unattached individual in your own power again. A space to decide and define what comes next.

Licensed Professional Counselor, MS, LPC
Therapist & A Couch is a space rooted in the belief that every part of you belongs. Many people who walk through my door are navigating tumultuous relationships, discerning whether they want to stay or leave, or moving through the aftermath of a breakup or divorce. These struggles often point to deeper questions about connection, satisfaction, relational patterns, and identity, which refers to the ways we learn to be with others and with ourselves.
No matter the story someone arrives with, the diagnoses they may carry, or the identities they may hold, we begin with the core human experiences that connect us all — our wishes, fears, wounds, conflicts, patterns, walking contradictions...our messiness. Within these places live the quiet truths that shape who we are. Together, we gently sift through what’s been heavy so you can feel lighter, freer, and more whole.

Philadelphia Couples Therapy
Psychologist, PsyD
There are points in a relationship when going your separate ways becomes the best option. But how do you know the best way to get through such a mess? Everyone has seen a couple suffer through an acrimonious divorce, and it’s clear no one wins. People often don’t think about couples or individual therapy because they are leaving the relationship, but that turns out to be a major oversight. Trying to understand one another in the process of divorce can alleviate deep hurts and circumvent major pitfalls in the process of ending the relationship.
Divorcing can often mean dividing assets and agreeing to custody solutions. This process can be excruciating for both parties. Even if you might feel a deep rage toward your partner, allowing each person to openly discuss their desires in a safe environment can be both refreshing and illuminating, cutting through the unimportant dribble to what really matters: moving on with your life in a way that allows each person to thrive. You can trust us to be sensitive to the deep pain of this situation and to carefully hold each person’s subjectivity in order to see you through to the other side.
If it feels as though you can’t be in the same room with your ex partner, we offer individual therapy for either or both people to work through the pain and even logistics of such an enormous life change.

MJB Wellness LLC
Hypnotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist and Coach, Certified Sexological Bodyworker, Sex Educator, Certified Reiki
While I don't specifically advertise as working with divorce, I do work with issues that often end in divorce and have done a number of workshops and online talks around couples and communication. In fact, for therapist who work with couples, the number 11 issue is lack of communication. Again, understanding consent, boundaries, and relationship dynamics is key to resolving couples issues. I trained in a protocol called Couple's Hypnosis where I hypnotize a couple together, take them to a place of complete honesty, openness, and lack of judgement and then pose a series of questions to each in turn to get the truth of their feelings around certain issues. If the couple has the willingness and courage to engage in this exploration it can lead to amazing insight in healing. Unfortunately, many clients don't have the courage to embrace honesty. I also see many clients post breakup and divorce who can't get past the loss of their partner and continue to obsess and mourn longer than is healthy. For these clients I am able to use hypnosis to break the hold their ex has on them and help them move on.

Matthew Syzdek
Psychologist, PhD, LP, MBA
If you feel on edge, anxious, irritable, or just can't relax, there is a path forward towards a more fulfilling life. Don't gamble when choosing a therapist. You deserve a psychologist who will adapt the best science to your specific needs and goals. Many therapists themselves are burned out and can't give the best care to their clients. Dr Syzdek built a small boutique practice where he limits the number of clients he treats, so he can give his clients the time, thought, and dedication that they deserve. Dr Syzdek combines compassion with the science of behavior change to help you make the the difficult decisions in life and take action, so you can live a happier life, thrive at work, love your relationships, and have fun again. Dr Syzdek treats anxiety and related conditions typically using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and exposure therapies. These approaches combine mindfulness, acceptance, and cognitive strategies to help you live your life again and find relief from the the struggle.
