For some clients, this means drawing strength from faith as part of the healing process; for others, it means exploring questions, struggles, or doubts without judgment. If your faith is foundational for you, as it is for me, then integrating that perspective into therapy is important. My goal is to meet you where you are—honoring your story, your values, and the perspective that’s meaningful to you.

My goal as a Christian Counselor is to use faith-based principles and psychological instruction to help people better manage and/or resolve any issues in their lives. I obtained both my under graduate degree and my counseling degree from Liberty University.

There are many who state they are Christian Counselors, but when it comes to counseling they leave out God's word. As an Ordained Minister of the Gospel with many years of experience pastoring and leading Christian organizations, I am very qualified to help individuals struggling with their Christian faith. I have found that when a person struggles with their faith in God, they will also struggle in other areas of their lives. I prefer to think that I am more of an mediator between my client and the Lord who is very present in the counseling session.

Montgomery is Alabama's state capital and a city with profound civil rights significance — the birthplace of the bus boycott, home to the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, and site of the National Memorial for Peace and Justice — and this history creates a distinctive clinical context in which racial identity, community trauma, and intergenerational resilience are active themes. The city has a majority Black population and a state government workforce, generating therapy demand that spans from the particular stresses of public service careers to the cultural and emotional dimensions of living in a place where the history of racism is physically present. Baptist Health and Jackson Hospital provide institutional mental health resources alongside a private therapy community.
