Free matching calls available to help match you with the best therapist for your unique needs. Men face unique challenges when it comes to mental health. Balancing societal expectations, career demands, family responsibilities, and personal well-being can be overwhelming. Our specialized counselling services for men are designed to provide a supportive, confidential space where you can work through these challenges and thrive. Our counselling services address a wide range of concerns, including: Loneliness. Many men lack safe outlets to express their concerns and feel pressure to be stoic, making genuine connection difficult. Stress and Burnout: Managing the pressures of work, relationships, and life responsibilities. Anxiety and Depression: Understanding and overcoming persistent feelings of worry, sadness, or emptiness. In men, depression may also present as chronic anger. Anger and Emotional Regulation: Learning to express emotions in healthy, constructive ways. Relationship Challenges: Men are not taught relationship skills in the same way that women/those socialized as women are and this negatively impacts their romantic relationships. Navigating New Social Norms: The world is changing and many men are struggling to navigate these new norms. Identity Challenges: Many men struggle to navigate a desire to support equality and also meet social expectations of manhood. It can be helpful to have support to redefine masculinity for yourself and to explore your personal values and goals. Parenting: Many men aim to update the parenting script that their own father worked with and to be more present, engaged, emotionally available parents. We provide a safe, judgment-free environment where you can express yourself openly. During your sessions, your therapist will work collaboratively with you to understand your challenges and goals, develop practical strategies to improve your mental well-being, and build skills for resilience, communication, and emotional wellbeing.

Calgary, Alberta therapist: Daniel Klassen, psychologist
Men’s Issues

Daniel Klassen

Psychologist, Provisional, (P7619) with CAP in Alberta & Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC 19147) with BCACC, for elsewhere in Canada
Daniel deeply understands the unique challenges that men face—those often unspoken struggles that can quietly erode a man’s sense of identity and well-being. He works with men who feel lost, burdened, or disconnected from themselves, helping them identify the inner blocks that hold them back and guiding them toward a fuller understanding of who they truly are. In the space Daniel creates, men are invited to explore their identity, purpose, and desires without judgment. He recognizes that these questions run deep—touching on self-worth, emotional resilience, life direction, relationships, and even sexual well-being. His work goes far beyond managing daily stressors; it delves into the core of what it means to be a man in today’s complex world. Daniel helps his clients navigate personal struggles, confront inner conflicts, and reconnect with parts of themselves they may have suppressed or overlooked. His approach fosters clarity, confidence, and self-acceptance. Through this process, men begin to reclaim their strength—not just the kind that pushes through hardship, but the kind that embraces vulnerability, authenticity, and purpose. Ultimately, Daniel empowers men to live more fully and freely, grounded in who they are and equipped to pursue lives of meaning, connection, and fulfillment.
