Stress

Nicklas Ehrlich

Counsellor/Therapist, MSW, RCC (#0843), RSW (#11561), Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Life-Coach, Hypnotherapist, Advanced Neurofeedback Trainer
Stress is a result of the nervous system/brain going into some degree of fight-flight-freeze or collapse. This comes from internal negative dialogue and perceptions within our environment. If we are not resilient we react and if we are resilient we respond without experiencing stress to mind/body.

Stress

Tatiana Balashova (Life in Glow Wellness)

Counsellor/Therapist
Stress can put a filter on life which makes it much more difficult to enjoy everyday life and also it can cast a shadow on practically every sphere of life. If can affect ability to make decisions, ability to feel, to enjoy, to be authentic, relaxed, and ability to succeed in relationships and at work, let alone it affects health and resilience. It often completely blocks the way to fulfilling your creative potential. I am very familiar with stress and also being an HSP (highly sensitive person), and a person who suffered from chronic anxiety for many years (before becoming a therapist), I know how it feels to be stressed in situations which other people would consider exciting rather than stressful. It really depends and I get it. After successfully coping with my chronic anxiety and learning how to set healthier personal borders as well as learning how to estimate a reasonable workload and practice self-care, I know very well how much better it feels when stress is minimized in life, even if contemporary times keep speeding up and for some people it becomes more and more difficult to grasp reality with its tempo of life and demands of supporting daily activities. There are a few ways to cope with stress, apart from life coaching techniques for time management it can be also helpful to understand better the root of stressful factor and experiences. If you find emotional balance you can cope with so much more in an easier way. Yet first have to deal with the stress. The methods and approach I use are based on working with the subconscious mind, it is fun to work with and clients find it enjoyable and effective. However it also depends on how much you are willing to change yourself and your life, because often stress is not a single recipe answer. It might require deep transformation and change of habits, in some cases even change of lifestyle and work, change of communication patterns. The reward is better health, better sleep and better "overall feel" of your body and reality, a happier and more fulfilling life. Imo it can be definitely worth the effort.

Stress

Candice Seligman

Counsellor/Therapist, MACP, DVATI, CCC
Stress can show up as feeling constantly overwhelmed, mentally overloaded, feeling shutdown, emotionally drained, burnt out, or caught in a state of “always needing to do more.” You may notice tension in your body, racing thoughts, difficulty resting or sleeping, or carrying pressure to keep everything under control. I work somatically, trauma-informed, and with the nervous system, inner child, and energy field in mind to help release the deeper roots of chronic stress patterns. My focus is compassionate, root-cause healing that supports your body and mind in finding greater regulation, balance, and inner ease as you move through life.
